Transportation Information
At the start of a student’s day the first and last person they see is the school bus driver. Medford Public Schools prides itself in having one of the most efficient and safest pupil transportation systems in Burlington County. Our staff consists of over 70 employees, including driver, assistants and mechanics. The district has a fleet of fifty-five school buses and vans to transport approximately 3,200 Pre-k through 8th grade students twice daily. We travel over 500,000 miles during the course of a school year.
It has been said that at no time in a student’s day are they more vulnerable than when they are driving in the school bus. When you think about it, that’s quite true. The responsibility of over fifty-four children is shouldered, often time, by a single driver. The residents of this community can take comfort and pride in knowing the safe transportation of our most precious resource, their children, is in the hands of a most dedicated staff.
This site will provide valuable information about your child’s bus service. We’ve have tried to include answers to most frequently asked questions and any Transportation forms that you might need.
Hours of operation are 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
