Dear Memorial Parents,

Once again, Medford Memorial School is partnering with the Medford Township Police to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics New Jersey by participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run on Friday, June 8th.  Over 3,000 law enforcement officers from across the state will be carrying the “Flame of Hope” to the Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games.  The Medford Township Police have invited our students to accompany them on a leg of their run.  Students, as well as some Memorial staff, will join the runners as they arrive at Memorial School at approximately 9:30 am.  The officers, students and staff will then run as a group to Allen Elementary School, where they will be met with the cheers of a crowd.  The run will take approximately 20 minutes, after which students will be accompanied back to Memorial School.  If your child would like to participate in this fun event to show their support for our local officers and Special Olympics, please see the online registration information below.  Donations of $20 will earn each student a Torch Run t-shirt.  In order to ensure delivery of the shirts, online registration must be completed by Monday, May 21st.  Students can still register after the 21st, but may not receive a t-shirt.  Thank you for considering having your child participate in this great event!
