My name is Mrs. Evans and I am thrilled to be teaching your children at Kirby’s Mill. My mission is to teach students to become art advocates and experience the fun of making art.

I graduated from Rowan University certified to teach both Art and Theater. I have had my artwork published, projected behind actors in the NYC Musical Theater Festival, worn on stage, at dance festivals, and on the ice. My hobbies include: dancing, sewing, singing, painting, home improvements, and ice skating. (I am the 2015 US National Adult Ice Dance Bronze Medalist, 5th in the nation in 2017.)

The arts are so important because they allow the artist to express who they really are emotionally and creatively. Every child is an artist, and I believe it takes great courage to express oneself and abilities in a way for others to interpret; it is for us as parents to help encourage our children to be bold and courageous to keep them willing to practice their craft.

I have so many fun projects waiting for my students including: Drawing, Painting, Puppetry, Collage, Printmaking, Ceramics, Sculpture, Color Theory, Shapes, and the Elements of Art & Principles of Design.

I cannot wait to share my love of the fine and performing arts with your child.
