• Seeing a live performance is an exciting way to engage with the performing arts, and is a unique experience for your child.  Below is a list of local performance groups which put on productions geared towards children. I encourage you to check them out and attend!  Or, if your child is older, take a look at the adult programming- you might just find something to spark their interest!  Please click the links to find out more information.


    The Philadelphia Orchestra

    This orchestra puts on kids concerts, has "meet the instrument" days for very young children, and does free summertime concerts.


    NJ Symphony Orchestra

    This orchestra puts on concerts throughout New Jersey, and does a series of kids concerts at the NJPAC in Newark.


    The Ritz Theatre

    This theatre is local, in Oaklyn, and has an extensive children's program with shows and camps.


    The Arden Theatre

    The Arden is a theatre in Philadelphia which puts on a few children's shows each year.  They also have a drama school and summer camp.


    The Walnut Street Theatre

    This theatre is located in Philadelphia and has a series of children's shows every year.  They also have have a drama school and summer camp.


    The Broadway Theatre of Pitman

    This local theatre in Pitman puts on a large variety of children's shows throughout the year.


    For the big kids...

    Check out Broadway Philadelphia, which is a series of touring Broadway shows.  Some coming through this year, like Aladdin or School of Rock, are sure to be a hit!
