I am very excited to be a part of the Kirby’s Mill school community this year. This is my ninth year in the field of special education. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Elementary Special Education and a M.Ed. in Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders. Upon graduation, I lived and worked in New York City for five and a half years. I obtained a second masters in Neuroscience and Education from Teachers College at Columbia University in 2010. In 2011, my husband’s job took us out to southern California where I taught for two and half years in Orange County. We returned back east last September when my son was born. I am happy to finally be teaching in my home state!
