Hello...welcome to my fourth grade class! I know you are probably just as anxious to meet me as I am to meet you. Here is a little bit of information to help you get to know me better.
I am proud to say that I have been a teacher in Medford Township Public Schools since 2002. I am enthusiastic about my job and put 100% into my work each and every day. I am passionate about education and love working with children year after year. The classroom is my home away from home and my students really do become my extended family.
When I am not with my school family, I am spending time with my immediate family. I am happily married to my best friend, John. We have two wonderful sons, Sean and Jack and a playful yellow lab, Maggie. In addition, I live just minutes away from my parents, twin sister, brother-in-law, and nephews. Family is extremely important to me, and it doesn't take long for my students to find that out (I often use my family members as subjects in stories and lessons).
After I have finished working, driving my children from one activity to another, making dinner, and doing paperwork, I sometimes have the rare opportunity to enjoy some recreational activities. Some of my favorites are photography, hiking, shopping, going to the theater, and traveling. Don't let those sophisticated interests fool you, though, because there is also a part of me that is just a big kid at heart. For example, I love family movie nights, board games, riding roller coasters, hanging out with my friends, eating ice cream sundaes, and most of all making people laugh.
I lead an extremely busy life, but wouldn't have it any other way. I consider myself a very fortunate person, for I am able to do what I love most. I am privileged enough to have the opportunity to work with incredible children and then come home to my own. What more could I ask for!!!
